In addition to their curriculum knowledge, all XCOMPANY programs are taught by trained or certified applied exercise science professionals. One of our goals is to educate consumers on to simply ask instructors (in any program, at any organization) for their exercise science training or credentials before signing up.

- Worship Kinetix: In-Reach
- Hip Hop, Swords, Jazz Dance, Nunchucks, Flags..whatever! XCOMPANY believes ALL our movement forms can be integrated spiritually and/or as worship! Gone are the days of the early 80′s churchy, lyrical dance and gawdy ankle length dresses that completely limited worship (and creativity) to a particular westernized ‘style’ of dance. No thanks! These sessions are freeform group gatherings where artists are free to express movement, music, words or even still silence as spiritual forms worship. Led by a facilitator (also certified in applied kinesiology, of course) with various types of music (live and recorded).
- Open to ALL XCO Students. Monthly evening gatherings. It is called IN-Reach, as opposed to OUT-reach, in that we act as a community to build each other up within our group.

- Pilates
- Taught by a trained Stott Pilates Instructor, this system incorporates modern exercise principles, and applies proven and accepted practices in biomechanics, rehabilitation and athletic performance enhancement. Stott Pilates exercises are designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints. This involves placing more emphasis on pelvic and scapular stabilization, and integration of all the parts of the body into one. As well, preparatory exercises and modifications allow the technique to be appropriate for many different body types and abilities, making it applicable to sport-specific training and everyday life.
- Yoga (Fitness Yoga)
- Fitness Yoga is an excellent introduction to gentle yoga taught from a Group Ex/Fitness Instructor perspective. While not as ‘traditional,’ it is still in the Iyengar approach. Covered will be introduction to yoga, fundamental poses, pranayama-breathing, sequences and introduction to meditation. A refreshing and inspiring workout. We are trained by Maureen Rae Yoga Studio, RN, E-RYT, YogaAlliance.
- Zumba Fitness®

Since its inception in 2001, the Zumba program has grown to become the world’s largest – and most successful – dance-fitness program with more than 12 million people of all shapes, sizes and ages taking weekly Zumba classes in over 110,000 locations across more than 125 countries

Empty-hand techniques such as punches, kicks, grabs, throws and jumps provide the foundation, while various weaponry such as swords, staff, three-section staff and chainwhip are taught as extension of empty-hand technique. XCOMPANY’S Kungfu/Wushu foundations come from training received at Xiao Hu Martial Arts School (Wudang/Southern), Ching Wu Athletic Association (Songshan/Northern).

- Children’s Defence Tactics
- Women’s Self-Defence
- Older Adult & Cane Self-Defence
- XCOMPANY is a recreational, family and self-defence school. Values such as non-violence, anti-bullying are taught in addition to our H.E.A.D.S.U.P. Core Values. If you are looking for sports-entertainment or MMA, this may not be for you. While smash-and-grab fighting can be exciting, our true focus is teaching kids practical self-defence, traditional techniques and values in a safe, welcoming…and FUN environment.
*BUYER BEWARE: Many instructors in dance, fitness & recreational programs have little or no formal training in anatomy, physiology, or even exercise safety/cpr! Also, many dance, martial arts or fad-fitness programs (i.e. latin-based dance craze, mma fitness, etc) may only be franchises or curriculum content only…which anyone can buy ‘off the street,’ so to speak. Fortunately, all XCOMPANY instructors are required to have appropriate levels of such formal kinesiology training and/or proper credentials IN ADDITION to their curriculum knowledge base.
CONSUMER TIP: Before signing up for ANY movement-based program anywhere, always ask your instructors-if they have (or are undergoing) any formal kinesiology training and/or fitness credentials. Don’t worry about offending anyone, as we professionals already love bragging -er…sharing- about our knowledge!
